03.08.10 Oil Terminal of SOCAR in Georgia increases the volume of trans-shipping oil and oil products
In January-July of the current year the Black Sea Oil Terminal of SOCAR in Kulevi (Georgia) received about two million tons of oil and oil products. In July, the oil terminal received about 410 thousand tons of oil cargo and sent out 408 thousand tons.

26.07.10 SOCAR invested about 470 million dollars into the economy of Georgia
SOCAR has invested about 470 million dollars into the economy of Georgia so far. To be more specific, tens of gas distribution networks of Georgia are under the management of SOCAR Energy Georgia, Ltd. Besides, the company owns an oil terminal in Kulevi. Through the territory of Georgia Azerbaijan exports its oil and gas via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas pipeline.

At the joint press-conference with the president of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili, the president of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev stated that both Azerbaijan and Georgia are following the same path of development and this process can't be stopped by anything; Mr. Ilham Aliyev underlined the fact that these two nations are connected by the "historical memory of friendship".

On July 13, the company SOCAR Georgia Petroleum, Ltd opened three petrol stations in Georgia, namely, in Kutaisi (Kvitiri village), in Khashuri and in Gori. Petrol stations were opened by Mr. David Zubitashvili, Director of SOCAR Georgia Petroleum, Ltd. The mentioned petrol stations as well as already operating sites fully meet the requirements envisaged by European standards. Petrol stations are equipped with the most recent Japanese equipment which ensures 100 % preciseness of giving out fuel.

22.06.10 SOCAR Georgia Petroleum opened 2 more petrol stations in Georgia
On June 22, the company SOCAR Georgia Petroleum, Ltd opened two more petrol stations in Tbilisi, namely, on the territory of Navtlughi. Petrol stations were opened by Mr. Mahir Mammedov, General Director of the company SOCAR Energy Georgia, Ltd and Mr. David Zubitashvili, Director of SOCAR Georgia Petroleum, Ltd. 20.05.10 The presentation of the project of supplying Poti with gas
On May 20 of the current year in Poti SOCAR Georgia Gas, Ltd held a presentation of the project of supplying the city with gas. In 2010 it is planned to construct the gas network in Poti. Overall 158 km of gas pipelines will be built. Upon the completion of construction the amount of potential subscribers in Poti will equal 21 000. Besides, 174 sites of various purpose will be supplied with gas.

20.05.10 Black Sea Terminal of SOCAR started to trans-ship crude oil for the first time
The Black Sea oil terminal of company SOCAR in Kulevi started to trans-ship Kazakhstan oil of the deposit "Tengiz". The right approach of the company towards the main directions of developing the business strategy and meeting international standards by the terminal in any operations attracted such an important transporter of crude oil as Tengizshevroil. It produces four types of high quality production for using it both inside and outside the Republic.

17.05.10 The quality of Azeri fuel at the Georgian market meets the operating standards
The quality of Azeri petrol sold in Georgia meets the operating standards, said Vakhtang Iobashvili, head of the agency for certification of oil products "Monitoring". According to him, in May "Monitoring" carried out a quality check of fuel imported by SOCAR Georgia Petroleum,Ltd and implemented the certification process.
